Parent’s Wish

My Great Grand Mother just moved into our house today.. She’s now ninety plus and really old.. My Grand Mother’s sister is going to the States to arrange some family matters so my Lola had to take care of my great grandma, she hired a carer because it will be hard for her to handle it alone since she’s also old. ( seventy plus )

Its nice to know that the values instilled here in our country regarding taking care of the old hasnt changed drastically. Unlike in other countries where they send their old family members to Nursing Homes.

I received an email last year with an attachement about the thoughts of aging parents. I was really touched and I can’t help but be a bit teary eyed.. The message is so moving. Now, I want you to click the link and view the clip with your speakers on..

it really takes some time. go with the flow.

My 3rd week as a Senior college student just ended and everything is flowing smoothly.. well, smoothly for now. The tough acads and hectic times are yet to come and Im really preparing my self. As I had expected, I am currently adjusting to the new atmosphere.. I don’t have any problem so far with my new block mates and with my new group mates as well. I think the relationship between me and my group mates is a bit more important to establish since I will be spending more time with them this school year. wee, its not really a big issue, they’re all nice. I think were all nice especially at this point coz were still adjusting and we dont want to have a rough start or a “suck big time” first impressions.. but as far as im concerned, were just being nice in a good way, I mean, not in a plastic way.. so everything’s cool. no problem. im cool, they’re cool. so a fruitful and memorable senior year in college is in the works for all of us.

and after months of indulging my self with rock alternative music such as the likes of The Fray ( Cable Car, How to Save a life), David Cook ( Always be my baby ), Rascal Flatts ( He Aint the leavin kind ), Weezer ( Buddy Holly), Incubus ( Love Hurts ), The Pixies ( Where is my mind? ) to name a few, literally rocked and became a part of my daily routine for quite some time.. and as a part of my so called “music detour”, my ears are currently glued to the latest music of Mariah Carey. For those who don’t know,  my greatest Soul and R&B favorites are the Legendary Stevie Wonder and her female counter part, Mariah Carey. ( parang sa mga female international singers, si mariah lang, aside from christina ang kakaiba.. hehe )

I bought her new CD last summer and It’s only now that I was able to listen to it thoroughly. The entire album is very spontaneous, you wont even notice that you’ve already finished the whole cd and you’re like craving for more.. Its really worth the buy. sulit ang 460.

note: uber gulo ang ‘writing an entry’ habit ko lately, inuuna pa kasi ang panonood sa youtube tapos mag ta-type kung kelang pagod na ang mata eh. hahah. kita naman sa mga taglish phrases at informal english ko lately. ayus lang yun. ang sipag ko nga magblog eh.. hehe.

another lease of life

Ive been trying so hard to maintain my sanity lately. I dont want to elaborate too much. Sometimes, its just better to keep things to yourself and resolve it quietly, with just the two of you involved. Its a bit unclear, I dunno if its just me who makes the situation a bit screwed up but as far as im concerned, the actions that im going to do will definitely benefit the both of us. Maybe that person may not see it in a good light at first, im sure of that. Its just that sometimes, a relationship needs to end even before it had the chance to grow into more complicated things that might hurt the both of us…

..though it has the potential of blossoming into something really beautiful.

Off topic naman, heres what happened since monday..

Monday – First day of Medical Class, shitness uli, sa harap ako pinaupo. haha. so i thought, pano pag hindi ako gano nakapag review? hindi ako makakapag team up sa seatmate ko nyan, kita kaya agad ako ni prof. LOL. Adik talaga. joke lang yun, ofcourse nagrereview ako ah.

first meeting din sa Conversational Class that hapon, part ng skills lab yun. ano naman ang kinalaman nun sa NCM? part daw ng training para globally competitive.. ooy? ganun.. haha.. kewl naman ang prof, kano sya, si mr chaz, charles moore for long. haha

Tuesday – First meeting naman sa Surgery class. Tangna, sa harap nanaman ako pinaupo, ganun ba tlga pag level 4. may seatplan?? parang high school lang ah.. hindi naman umattend yung prof namin nung hapon sa nsg research..

Wednesday – OR nanaman, ok lang.. half day lang kami coz grand orientation sa school.. haha, at gaya ng inaasahan, may grand yabang aura kaming mga 4th year.. ang angas. hahah

Thursday- OR duty uli, TAHBSO at CS ang na handle kong mga case.. yun lang. himala nga pala, hindi mainit ang ulo ni maam sa OR. haha

Friday – No OR. Reporting lang at Evaluation Exam. hindi ako nag review, nagkatuwaan kasi kami ng isa kong classmate na magpakatamad that day, “kung papasa, eh papasa talaga, kung hindi, no comment” haha. Adik.. anyhow, 59 over 75 items ang score ko, pasado parin. not bad

Saturday – Nagtanga, nag blog, nag eemote.

Sunday – habang tinatype ko to, saturday pa lang, so probably, magsisimba at magtatanga lang uli. konting review na rin.
